Read on for how to join Middlebury College Crew.

1. Fill out rowing interest form

This form will put your name on an email list of  students interested in rowing. This will be used to update you on any meetings, events, demo practices, etc.

Much of our team is comprised of students who began rowing while at Middlebury!

2. Get Information

3.  Attend the Information Meeting

Join us for a one hour session to get a better sense of the sport, our team and culture, and how joining will improve your college experience. This meeting is beneficial to anyone interested in rowing (or becoming a coxswain), regardless of experience!

Monday, September 16 at 7:30pm at Bicentennial Hall, room 220 –> The largest most noticeable building on the middlebury campus

Team members and coaches will be present to answer questions.

4. Try Rowing!

Try out the sport with no obligations! We will introduce you to our rowing studio and our off-campus facility at Lake Dunmore. Students interested in rowing will be bussed to Lake Dunmore in conjunction with regular team practice and do not have to worry about your own transportation!

5. Join the team

Once you communicate you interest to join to the coach, experienced rowers will begin to be integrated into the Varsity team, while students new to the sport will be taught how to row with the Middlebury Novice team where you will be taught how to participate in the sport. After a season as a Novice in the fall, you will join Varsity for the spring season.

This could be the beginning of a life-changing experience…
